CJV Summer Camps

Learn From The Area’s Best High School & CJV Club Coaches

Carolina Juniors Volleyball in conjunction with Sports Connection offers Volleyball camps every Summer for girls and boys ages 8-18 years AND for all skill levels. We provide high level instruction and competition in a fun environment. We provide instruction from some of the best coaches in the Charlotte area at an affordable price. Campers will be divided into separate groups based on age and skill levels during each camp. These groups will have 8-10 campers per instructor and each group will have an opportunity to work with all of the camp’s coaches throughout the week.

In addition to the Volleyball Camps, we also offer Full Day Super Terrific Fun Camps, Half Day Super Terrific Fun Camps and Sports Camps at our North and South Sport Connection Locations.

Camp Transfers or Cancellations

Campers may TRANSFER from one week to another, at no charge, provided we are notified (preferably by email) 10 or more days before the start of the original camp date and there is room available in the new camp date. Changes made less than 10 days before the start of the original camp date will result in a transfer fee of $40 per week. CANCELLATION of the camp at anytime, will result in an $80 fee per week. The remaining balance will be issued as a Sports Connection CREDIT to be used for another camp or program at Sports Connection, or the balance can be put on a Sports Connection GIFT CARD to be used at any time in the future. There will be no transfers or credits allowed without at least a 4 hour notification before the start of the first day of camp.

CJV South Advanced Skills Clinics + Bootcamps

These half-day camps are for Platinum and Travel rated players looking to fine tune their skills ahead of school and club tryouts. Coaches will train athletes to excel in not only their position, but in all areas of volleyball, from skills to IQ to mental strength. Camp will begin with the mechanics of each of these skills and build into competitive drills that will challenge athletes. Athletes will be split up by age and ability level to ensure a safe and challenging training environment for all. Our coaching staff is made up of CJV directors, local college coaches, travel coaches, and CJV alum.

Libero Bootcamp Excel at the libero position; great for liberos who want to learn how to be in charge of the defense and serve receive. They will learn to read the hitters, dig every type of attack, and master their serve receive skills. June 11
Skills Camp: Defense IQ master the art of defense through building your IQ in both front row and back row. Athletes will be trained to read the hitter, make adjustments, and quick movements to get that ball up and playable. This is a great camp for blockers as well – an underrated part of defense! June 16
Hitter Bootcamp Excel as an attacker on your team; this camp is great for both middles and pin hitters who want to learn how to be in charge of the offense. They will learn to every type of set (in- and out-of-system), master the pass/dig to transition, and learn to diversify their shots. June 18
Setter Bootcamp Excel as a setter on your team; this camp is great for setters who are looking to perfect their jump set, run an offense from anywhere on the court, and become an offensive part of their team. June 21
Skills Camp: Hitter Mechanics How to diversify your shots while attacking; this camp is great for hitters looking to learn how to tool the block, master rolls/tips, and produce more kills for their team, as well as setters looking to learn how to be more offensive in the front and back row. June 23

Brian Rosen Skills Camp + College Showcase

Skills Camp:
This camp, directed by Brian Rosen, head coach at Creighton University, is for athletes looking to hone their skills before school and club tryouts and work with high level coaches. Lead coaches will be college coaches from across the area. In 2025, we had coaches from the following 19 universities: Belmont Abbey, Campbell, Coastal Carolina, Coker, Creighton, Davidson, Elon, High Point, Lander, Limestone, Mars Hill, Presbyterian College, Queens, UNC Charlotte, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and Winthrop. Camp will include position training, skill instruction, and competitive game play. Athletes will be split up by age and ability level to ensure a safe and challenging training environment for all. Per NCAA rules, this camp is open to any and all participants who meet the registration requirements.
Grades: 6th – 12th; Girls
Time: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Cost: $90 prior to May 31st. $100 starting June 1st

Showcase Camp:
This camp, directed by Brian Rosen, head coach at Creighton University, is for athletes looking to learn what it’s like to be trained in a college gym and be exposed to a number of different college programs. Court coaches will be college coaches from across the area. Camp will include position training and lots of competitive game play. College Coaches will run drills and training just like they would in their own practices. Athletes will be split up by age and ability level to ensure a challenging training environment for all. The final 30 minutes of the camp will be a Recruiting Q&A with the coaching staff. Although this camp is open to any and all that fit the registration criteria, we would encourage athletes without high level club experience to attend the morning camp. In 2025, we had coaches from the following 19 universities: Belmont Abbey, Campbell, Coastal Carolina, Coker, Creighton, Davidson, Elon, High Point, Lander, Limestone, Mars Hill, Presbyterian College, Queens, UNC Charlotte, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and Winthrop.

Traditional Summer Camp – Information & Registration

This four day camp is for beginner athletes. Skills covered are: forearm passing, overhead passing, setting, approaching/attacking, overhand serving, defense technique and systems, transition, communication, and teamwork. All skills are covered in exciting and challenging drills as well as game-like situations and 6v6 play. Our local program and travel program coaches will be running our traditional camps.

Camp Times

-The Carolina Juniors Traditional Volleyball Camps are from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM each day. Campers can be dropped off up to 30 minutes before the start of camp and picked up no later than 30 minutes after the end of camp.

Camp Cost

-Traditional Summer Camps cost $220 per week if athlete is registered BEFORE April 15, 2026. After this date, traditional summer camps will costs $240 per week. There are no discounts for missed days; parents must register for all four days of camp. We do not offer sibling discounts.

Camp Lunch

Each camper is responsible for bringing his/her own bag lunch for each day of camp.

Camp Snacks

The Sports Connection will provide time for snacks and beverages each morning and afternoon for all campers. Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase at the Sports Connection snack bar. Campers are welcome to bring their own snacks and beverages as well.

Required Equipment

Campers are required to wear sneakers and comfortable clothing to camp each day. Kneepads are not required, but are recommended.

Camp Staff

The camp counselors are made up of Carolina Juniors Volleyball coaches, local high school coaches, as well as many current and former college players and coaches. Our ratio is 8 to 10 campers per counselor.
