Local Skills Clinics

Overview
Carolina Juniors offer various clinics for local program athletes to participate in, from fundamental training to pre-tryout clinics to prep for the upcoming season. See below for specific dates and programs, as well as definitions of skill levels.

Fundamental Training Clinics

These Training Clinics are designed for beginner to intermediate athletes. Our CJV directors will be teaching athletes the fundamentals of volleyball at our Granite Street location. All players must register & pay 24 hours in advance. No walk-ins the day of please. Space is limited. Check our CourtReserve for a complete list of clinics.

Beginner & Intermediate Group Training

These Group training sessions are designed for beginner to intermediate 1 athletes. This session will include a focus on fundamentals of positions and individual skills, multi contact drills, and competitive play. Our CJV directors will be teaching athletes specific skills of volleyball. All players must register & pay 24 hours in advance. No walk-ins the day of please. Space is limited. Beginner – New to Volleyball, participated on a Lil’ Spikers, Practice & Play, 3-5 Silver, or Bronze Program

Intermediate – Participated on a 6-12th Grade Silver Team, 6-8th Grade Gold Team, State Team, or Select Team

Advanced– Participated on a 9-12th Grade Platinum, 9-12th Grade Gold Team, 6-8th Grade Platinum, Mizuno Team, or National Travel team

North & South Player Rating Evaluation Clinics

Many of the CJV Team Programs and Training Programs require players to have a specific Player Rating to be able to Register and Play. Players are welcome to attend an upcoming Player Rating Evaluation Session at any time during the year to be rated or re-rated. Athletes may rated a level up from their current rating OR be re-rated as the same level they are currently at. Coaches will rate athletes for the program they feel the athlete will benefit from.
