Platinum Program

Overview

The goal of PLATINUM athletes is to provide a training setting for the ADVANCED level player with more specific game-like training and individual development.

The Platinum Level requires players to have a Player Rating of PLATINUM or TRAVEL to Register and Play. Most athletes will practice and play games at the same or similar times per age group.

Athletes will practice twice a week and compete in a series of competitions or mini tournaments on the weekends over a span of 6-9 weeks, depending on the season. The weekend volleyball matches are designed to provide a fun and competitive environment with no out of town traveling. Having games played locally will not only give all players great practice and competition, but also save time and money on travel, and allow the players (and their families) to participate in other sports or activities on the weekends. Games will include 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, and 6v6 competitions.

Age Group / Teams
6th – 8th Graders
9th – 12th Graders

We will not be forming traditional teams in the Platinum program. Each week, athletes will be put into new groups based on their performance the previous week. This program will be using “Cauldron Scoring” every Friday Night. This means athletes will collect points every Friday game day, and their points will affect where they are positioned for the next Friday’s game. The more points you score, the higher you are ranked for the next week. Athletes will understand how to score each Friday, and it is their responsibility to report their points to one of our Platinum directors.

The first three weeks of games will be small group ladders or tournaments. The final three weeks of games will be 6v6 scrimmages, wash drills, and positional competitions. Once we get into 6v6 play, their points will help us rank positions and put together teams based on this data.

Teams for 6v6 days will be made up of about 10 athletes, depending on positional needs and program numbers. Playing time will be equal amongst their positions. All athletes will receive an assigned # or court upon arrival on Friday nights.

Playing Time
All players will receive playing time at each league competition, but playing time may not be equal in all league games at the Platinum Level.

Attendance
The logistics of Platinum games depends heavily on attendance, so it is crucial that we know if you athlete is missing a game as soon as possible! The sooner we know, the quicker we can make adjustments to the schedule and avoid on-court delays.

Zero Tolerance Policy
